What Is Clickbank Gravity And How Does It Help You As An Affiliate?

Author: Ray Johnson

One of the easiest ways to get started marketing on the internet is through affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is sending leads to a sales page and getting paid for everyone of your leads that buy. But how do you select an affiliate product? How can you tell which affiliate products will sell and which won’t sell?

Hot Girl with Money

The process of choosing an affiliate program to become involved with is not as hard as it may seem as long as you know what to look for and what you want. You need to know how to search for affiliate programs and how to compare one to another.

The first thing you need to know before you pick an affiliate program is what market or what niche do you want to sell in. For example do you want to sell internet marketing information, self help information or gardening information?

There are so many products you can sell, you need to narrow you choice to start with by answering that question. You will be most likely to succeed in an area you either know something about or are interested in.

Once you pick your niche you are ready to start looking. The largest collection of information products with affiliate programs is Clickbank. There are thousands of products in dozens of categories and hundreds of sub categories listed for affiliates to choose from.

Go to Clickbank and look around a little bit to get a feel for the site and read some of the information about getting started. If you do not have a Clickbank account, you need to sign up for one. It is through this account that you will be paid, so it is important to sign up.

Once that is done go to Clickbank marketplace. There is a link to marketplace at the top of the main page. Marketplace is where you can search for affiliate programs. They are organized by categories which is why you need to have an idea about the market or niche you want to sell to ahead of time.

There is a simple search engine there that will allow you to search by category, keyword, and sub-category. Once you enter the search parameters the system lists your results. There are some statistics that are shown for all each of the results. The key ones are gravity, total earned per sale, percent earned per sale and percent of sales by affiliates.

The most important number is gravity. Gravity is a score that Clickbank assigns to each affiliate product according to their secret formula. It has to do with how many sales and how recently those sales have occurred.

Suffice to say that high gravity means that affiliates are making a lot of commissions on sales. Low gravity means that there has not been many sales at all. So the gravity is an important measure of how successful a product is.

You do not want to select the product with highest gravity because that also means that there will be the highest number of competitors selling that product. It would be very difficult for you start with a product that has so much competition.

You would be much better off looking for a product with a gravity somewhere between 75 and 150. That way you know that the product sells fairly well and you won’t have as much competition as the top products will have.

Once you find a number of products you might be interested in based on the gravity and category you can then start looking at the other factors such as total paid and percent paid. Always start with a good number of possibilities and narrow it down from there.

You can be more confident in picking the right affiliate product by understanding how to use the gravity numbers at Clickbank. That is a great start to picking your winning affiliate product.

Myspace Mobsters App

If any of you play mobsters please send me an add: http://myspace.com/byronthurman

Okay first things first there are 3 types of accounts when you play mobsters, each one gives you a little bit of an advantage while you play but for the most part they all have their benefits and it depends a lot on what type of strategy you will use.

The first method that I personally used is travel up the ranks quickly doing missions… this is fine but I missed out on a lot of other ways to make cash on mobsters such as bounty hunting and fighting. You can really make a lot more money once you realize how much money you can make just fighting. Your resources get stretched more thin but you come up faster, at least that is my theory. I’m about to set up my third account. It’s going to be thenewvirus.com or something as similar as I can get for promotion and I’m going to try to really make some money in the game. The Godfather will be proud.

Your Home Computer Will be Safe and Secured if you Follow These Steps

November 12, 2008 · Posted in Internet and Computers · Comment

As a home computer user, you need to make sure that your computer is safe from any form of malicious online attack, including hacking. You might have important data including any identification in your computer which intruders can have access to. It is therefore very important for you to find out just how safe your computer is from these potential attacks.

Primarily, intruders target home computer users because:

(1) Home computer users typically don’t have security measures installed on them, which makes them easy targets. and

(2) They often have valuable information, such as credit card information stored which is enough to entice these intruders.

In addition, you have to know what types of attack to expect. Opening an unknown, seemingly innocent email or clicking on an ad-banner will sometimes put you at unwanted risk and open the door for intruders. Once they are in, they’re sometimes hard to get rid of, so your home computer security should start with you being careful about the things you do while connected to the Internet.

Besides being careful about which emails to open or not, and which ad-banners to click to or not, you should also be careful about sending valuable information over the Internet. Such information can be interception by a third party. It would be better to transmit really important information the old-fashioned way, unless you are very much confident in your security measures.

Next would be putting security measures on your computer. If your operating system is Microsoft Windows, Apple OS or LINUX you can get a free security updates and malicious software removal tools every month, which would be extremely helpful to you. There are monthly updates because the intruders always try to find a way to get around these security measures on regular basis.

After getting the free security updates of your operating system, you would need to get an anti-virus program, preferably one that has the greatest number of virus definitions you might need to purchase this. Viruses, aside from causing chaos to your computer, can also be used to retrieve information from you and spread out to attack other computers. By obtaining a high-quality anti-virus program, viruses would not be as much of a problem.

Since intruders are aware of the capabilities of anti-virus programs, they sometimes choose to use spyware, which are little bits of data that can be either potentially dangerous or annoying. It slows down your computer processes, and can retrieve data from you. To combat this, there are anti-spyware programs available, both for free -freeware and through purchase.

The final security measure is a firewall. Normally, anti-virus programs offer firewalls, so acquiring one should not be much of a problem. A firewall acts like a security guard and disallows outright entry to anything trying to access your computer even if it is a program, without asking for your confirmation.

Computer intruders and viruses should not be taken lightly at all, It would therefore be important for you to know the types of computer viruses available, in order to better protect yourself from them.

Yes, Find Out These Dangerous Computer Viruses so can Always Guard Yourself Against them.
