It is common for kittens to have several bouts of vigorous play interspersed with naps. As they get older the bouts of play change and they begin more predatory play. A house with 6 cats is already a full place and it is likely that the one year old cats will begin to play with him as he gets older. It also is possible for you to keep him entertained with play time with toys on a regular basis.
