The Modern Trend of Going Green

November 28, 2008 · Posted in News

When you consider the severe adverse effect we are having on our environment it makes sense that many people may need to find new or rediscover old ways of purifying our food and water on a more localized level than we are currently accustomed to.

There is a new trend today called going green and it covers all aspects of self-sustaining living. From solar panels and wind turbines, to in house water purification systems, and rainwater collection systems we are about to experience a very dramatic change in the way we view fossil fuels, electricity, and energy in general. You can see it happening right in front of your eyes. Hybrid sales and production are up, technology improves daily, we are slowly breaking away from our dependence on fossil fuels.

Going green is really not something that is new to us. Pollution on a global level is a moderately new problem. There have been many select areas with certain grievances associated with them, such as communities that thrived on their coal mines and coal energy but have epidemic levels of asthma and other breathing problems in their children. Or the dirty industrial areas during the industrial revolution. But pollution like we are experiencing today has never been experienced on this earth before to our current knowledge, and it has been a topic of mass discussion and a looming problem for years.

Some people have found a way to make a living with the “going green” trend, using modern generators to produce electricity from the sun, wind, and even waves in the ocean. You can even go so far as to sell electricty back to the electric company and make a nice paycheck every month instead of recieving a bill.

I have covered many of my ideas, and I will be covering many more at http://kreativekubits.com including my new projects that I will be working on personally on 5 acres of land making it competely sel-sufficient for my family.
